{ INFORMATIVE MATERIAL } Life Is Lifeless Without Love

If we feel we are lacking in love, where do we find it?

First, it starts by admitting to ourselves and to at least one trusted friend how empty and how we feel lacking in love.

Second, keep in mind that we get damaged in damaging relationships and are healed in healing relationships which means we need to have a relationship with at least one loving, non-judgmental, and trusted person (a counselor, if needed) with whom we can be open and honestly reveal our true self. Being open and truthfully accepted who we are is the only way we can be loved and accepted, and not for what we have done or failed to do. If we are loved and accepted in this way, eventually we learn to love and accept ourselves.

This takes a lot of courage and time. But as we learn to love and accept ourselves, we are bound to love people or vice versa. We can only be loved if we are known, on the other hand, we can only love and accept others in the same way that we ourselves have been loved and accepted.

Third, we not only need the love of others, but above all, we need to know and experience God's love, forgiveness and his divine acceptance. As we open and confess our true self and sins to Him and ask for his forgiveness, He totally forgives us. When we learn how to forgive ourselves, we are freed to experience God's love and as we grow in love towards others, our love for God will also grow and be enriched. As God's word says, "If we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us"
