{ TECHNOLOGY } Mindflex is about to go head-to-head

Some of you might be familiar with Mindflex. It is a toy that we have reported on before that allows the user/player to concentrate to create some kind of telekinesis to move a ball up and down through an obstacle course.

You’ll be pleased to know that Mindflex is about to incorporate the marriage of two minds. With Mindflex Duel, you can play against an opponent.

I’m not certain how it works. Is there supposed to be two balls that each player is controlling, or is there one ball that each player is attempting to control?

Yes, I don’t know how the two-player Mindflex is played, but I know that the game allows for cooperative play. I actually like games with cooperative play. I was playing a cool game the other day called Forbidden Island, and I liked that all players were working together for a common goal rather than playing against each other.

I wonder if I should do a review on that game. I also wonder if Mindflex didn’t make an appearance at CES 2011. The first time I saw Mindflex, it was at CES, but I can’t remember the year.

There is no official word of when Mindflex Duel will be available, but you can pre-order it now on Amazon for about $99.99.
